This course offers an in-depth exploration of advanced techniques in third-space endoscopy and endoscopic intramural surgery, focusing on minimally invasive gastrointestinal interventions. Participants, guided by leading experts, will gain handson experience with complex procedures like Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM), and G-POEM (POP) using explant tissue. The interactive lab will emphasize skill-building in technical procedures, strategic planning, and managing potential complications.

Target Audience: Designed for interventional and surgical endoscopists, this course is ideal for those looking to advance their skills in ESD, POEM, and related techniques or incorporate these methods into their practices.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply and explain the techniques and indications for esophageal and gastric POEM in managing foregut motility disorders.
  • Perform and describe esophageal, gastric, and colorectal ESD, understanding their indications.
  • Assess GI lesions for optimal endoscopic intervention, recognizing when to use ESD or POEM.
  • Address complications in third-space endoscopy, including effective closure techniques.
  • Use traction and closure devices proficiently, demonstrating correct technique.
