Cholangioscopy is a dynamic and evolving modality in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreaticobiliary disorders. Advancements in techniques and equipment now enable a range of precise and effective interventions. This session provides an overview of the technical aspects, procedural nuances, and management of complications associated with cholangioscopy. Participants will benefit from hands-on practice using explant tissue, guided by renowned experts, to refine their skills and stay at the forefront of this specialized field.

Target Audience:Endoscopists of any experience and advanced endoscopy trainees level interested in learning the most current and advanced techniques in ERCP and cholangioscopy as well as those that desire additional practice in this area.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the basic devices and accessories utilized in Cholangioscopy
  • Identify the benefits of cholangioscopy for management of CBD and PD stones
  • Identify the benefits of cholangioscopy for indeterminate strictures
  • Evaluate neoplastic lesions to determine the best approach
  • Know when and when not to perform cholangioscopy
  • Describe technical aspects and complications of performing cholangioscopy
